"CopperGarden®" 28 cm Copper Pan with Lid
This large copper frying pan is suitable for all dishes due to its food-safe tinning. Even when adding lemon or other acids, the copper remains protected. It is ideal for all kitchen professionals who want to take advantage of the incredible properties of copper, as the unique thermal conductivity of copper is fully preserved compared to a stainless steel coating.
The frying pan offers all the benefits of copper, such as significantly better thermal conductivity compared to other materials. The hand-tinning can be renewed as needed, ensuring that the pan remains functional for generations and will quickly become your favorite frying pan. Give it a try; you won’t regret it.
Note: The pan is hand-forged from copper and hand-tinned on the inside. Copper is a living material and will change color. Depending on usage, the exterior of the pan will quickly develop an irregular patina, becoming a dark brown over time. The tinning on the inside has been carefully applied by hand and initially appears unevenly silver-colored. With use, the coating will become seasoned, and the silver will also develop a fantastic patina that can turn dark. Tin is completely harmless to the body, and you can use the pan without any worries. If the coating ever wears down, the pan can easily be re-tinned for a small fee.

With a core or coating of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. Tinning is 100% safe, as the body simply expels tin. The thermal conductivity remains intact. Additionally, tin combined with a little oil provides excellent non-stick properties. You will love it! If the tinning ever becomes unsightly or scratched, it can be re-tinned at any time. This ensures that the pan remains usable for a lifetime. Quality for centuries.

Healthy frying in a copper pan

Our tip for a healthy life, durable copper cookware, and fun in the kitchen: only use good oils and add a little at the start to your pan. A copper pan should not be heated empty.

Important to know: At 232 degrees, the tin coating may start to melt. At 250 degrees, the copper can warp.

A typical stovetop can reach 400u00b0 Celsius, a glass ceramic cooktop can reach 600u00b0, and a gas flame or open fire can exceed 1,000u00b0!

No need to worry! When cooking, frying, and baking normally, you will never reach these temperatures.

Pay attention to the smoke point. Itu2019s simple: if the oil is smoking, it's too hot! You can harm your health long before the copper pot suffers.

Frying and deep-frying become unhealthy at temperatures above 175u00b0! Acrylamide forms. Even high-heat oils will burn at around 200u00b0 Celsius. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures over 230 degrees.

Put your food in the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You don't need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden cooking spoon and hold the end briefly in the hot oil. If fine air bubbles come from the handle, the oil is hot enough for frying and deep-frying. If it starts to smoke, itu2019s too hot.

What if it happens! If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232u00b0, the tin may melt. It is 100% safe for health even if it ends up in your food. Your body will simply expel it. If necessary, the pot can be re-tinned.

If you expose your copper pan to temperatures above 250 degrees, it could warp. This is not a problem, but when cooking on an electric stovetop, it might cause heat transfer losses due to the warped bottom.

One more important note: Copper transfers all temperatures very quickly, including to the handle! Please use an oven mitt or cloth when handling the pan on the stove.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking device. With a little care, it will bring you a lot of joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish away these signs of life, but we recommend leaving it as is and allowing the pan to age gracefully.

Tin may dull with use. The original silver shine will turn into a matte gray. If you wish, you can re-tin it at any time. This will cost about 30 euros for a pan of this size, but it is not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn and scratched.
