Do you have any questions?

"CopperGarden®" 50 liter Column Still

Extremely versatile still with a hand-forged tilting stand for swiveling the fillable aroma and steam column. This still will soon become your "best friend" if you want to distill more frequently. It is highly versatile, safe, and uncomplicated. The 50-liter size can still be described as "manageable." The boiler is large enough for professional work, yet it can be easily lifted, transported, cleaned, and stored.

Versatile, Efficient, Practical, Uncomplicated

We would recommend this still for the production of essential oils and plant waters, as well as in the alcohol sector as a multifunctional home distillery, commercial craft distillery, or for demonstration distillation. Few other stills can offer such high yields while remaining convenient to handle. This still is suitable for demanding hobby distillers as well as for commercial use.

You can distill with or without the column!

The column can be removed with a few easy steps. Once removed, the still offers you all the capabilities of traditional alembic stills and can be used for all "normal" distillations. Distill fine rose water, noble whiskey, brandy, various hydrolats, or highly aromatic fruit and premium spirits in traditional fashion, or use the still with the mounted column for steam distillation of essential oils, for spirit and gin production, for distilling pomace spirits (grappa), or for the high-proof extraction of neutral alcohol such as vodka or grain alcohol.

Included: The new CopperGarden® column still, as offered since March 2022, consists of the hand-forged 50-liter boiler, the swiveling column with an integrated aroma sieve for steam distillation, the traditionally shaped distillation head, a two-part screwed ascending and vapor tube, as well as the generously sized condenser with cooling water inlet and outlet. The boiler is of high quality, welded (with bronze soldered), and comes standard with a drainage or cleaning pipe. Additionally, unlike in the images, the new 6 cm Al-Ambik® distillation thermometer is now mounted on the distillation head as standard.

Important Note: This still is subject to dual registration, and we must report the sale to our customs office in Giessen. You may also purchase this still privately for the production of essential oils and hydrolats, but you must register the receipt in writing with your relevant customs office within three days after delivery, stating where you will set up the still and what you intend to distill with it.

If you wish to distill alcohol, you will need a valid commercial distilling license. In this case, please clarify with your customs office before placing your order whether you are allowed to purchase and use the still from us. Unfortunately, alcohol distillation is prohibited for private individuals in Germany. In Germany and Austria, you can purchase stills up to 2 liters (up to 3 liters in Switzerland!) without customs registration. Accordingly, we also offer these wonderful column stills with boiler sizes of 0.5, 2, and 3 liters.
