"CopperGarden®" Parrot Spout with adapters
This wonderful "CopperGarden®" parrot spout simply attaches to the distillate outlet of your condenser and allows you to directly measure the alcohol percentage during distillation using an alcometer. This is not only interesting to observe but is also a great aid in assessing and timely separating the foreshots, ensuring that you can cleanly direct your distillate from the still into a container.
The parrot spout is made entirely of bare copper and has been soldered in a food-safe and alcohol-resistant manner, ensuring it is 100% lead-free. Thanks to the included adapter pieces, it can be attached to nearly all stills with boiler capacities between 5 and 100 liters. In the worst case, a little plumbing tape from the sanitary sector might be needed for a better fit or improvisation with your own pipe pieces may be required.
Please note that the parrot spout itself has a volume of nearly 200 ml, and additional distillate is needed to measure the alcohol content with the inserted alcometer. Using a parrot spout only makes sense with larger stills! With a 2-liter hobby or table still, the anticipated alcohol quantity would be too low to effectively use and measure with the parrot spout. In this case, we recommend using a measuring cylinder instead.
