"CopperGarden®" 25cm Fish Pan with Handles

This very versatile oval copper pan will surely bring you a lot of joy while cooking. Thanks to the perfect thermal conductivity of copper, you can sauté, steam, simmer, and braise better than with any other pan, and you will likely soon want to use no other material. Copper is, for good reason, the most popular material in fine dining as well as in camping and outdoor cooking.

Due to its oval shape, this pan is perfect for preparing fish. The 25 cm variant presented here is the medium size of the three CopperGarden fish pans and allows you to fry two trout or one sea bream at the same time. The pan can be used on any cooktop (except induction!), and thanks to its robust quality, it is also suitable for grilling, over an open fire, or in the oven.

Since the copper pan is beautiful to look at, you can bring your dishes directly to the table in the pan. Presentation matters, and your guests will appreciate it too. Of course, you can also prepare a variety of other dishes in the pan. Fried foods, various rice dishes like paella or risotto, and vegetable stir-fries turn out especially well. Cooking with copper is really fun. Thanks to the food-safe non-stick coating made of pure tin, you can prepare all types of food while retaining the exceptional thermal conductivity of copper.

Copper is the metal of love and can be polished, repaired, or re-coated with a little care at any time. A valuable investment for life from a sustainable EU manufacturer.

NOTE: The pictures with the three trout show the larger 30 cm copper pan.

This advantage is lost with an aluminum or steel core or coating. Tinning is 100% safe, as the body simply excretes tin. Nevertheless, thermal conductivity is maintained. If the tin coating becomes unsightly or scratched one day, it can be re-tinned. This keeps the pan usable for a lifetime.

Healthy Cooking in the Copper Pan

Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper cookware, and fun in the kitchen: only use good oils and add some right at the start to your pan. A copper pan should not be heated empty.

Important to Know: At around 232 degrees Celsius, the tin coating may start to melt. At 250 degrees Celsius, the copper can warp.

A normal stovetop can reach temperatures of 400u00b0, a glass-ceramic cooktop can reach 600u00b0, and a gas flame or fire can exceed 1,000u00b0!

Donu2019t be afraid! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will never reach these temperatures.

Watch for the Smoke Point. Itu2019s simple: if the oil is smoking, itu2019s too hot! You can harm your health long before the pan suffers any damage.

At 175u00b0, frying and deep-frying become unhealthy! Acrylamide forms. Even high-temperature oils can burn by around 200 degrees. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures over 230 degrees.

Add your food to the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You don't need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden cooking spoon and hold the end in the hot oil. If fine air bubbles come from the handle, the oil is hot enough for frying and sautu00e9ing. If it starts smoking, itu2019s way too hot.

What if it happens? If you accidentally heat your copper pan above 232u00b0, the tin may melt. It is 100% health-safe, even if it ends up in your food. Your body will simply excrete it. If necessary, the pan can be re-tinned.

If you expose your copper pan to temperatures above 250 degrees, it may warp. This is usually not a problem, but when cooking on an electric cooktop, the warped bottom may cause heat transfer losses.

Another important note: Copper transmits all temperatures very quickly u2013 including to the handles! Please use an oven mitt or cloth when handling the pan.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking device. With a little love, it will quickly bring you joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish away these marks of life, but we recommend against it and suggest letting the pan age gracefully.

Tin can become dull with use. The original silver shine transitions to a matte gray. You can re-tin it at any time if you wish. This will cost around 30 euros for a pan of this size, but itu2019s not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn or scratched.
