"CopperGarden®" table-top still Arabia 0.5 litre with aroma sieve

    We can recommend this very versatile hobby still from the CopperGarden forge without hesitation. The still is not only nice to look at, but it also offers many features which are usually only found in significantly larger stills. With slight deviations from the pictures there are also some improvements and changes in the new range. The model 2013, for example, is supplied with a somewhat larger and better designed spirit burner. The junction at the swan neck and the condenser is screwed, which ensures a safe connection between the condenser and the still. On the condenser itself there is a cool water intake, which enables you to attach a proper cool water circulation system and provide constant cooling during lengthy distillation.

   All in all, this hobby still is well-designed and is sure to be a pleasure to use for many years, even for frequent distilling. The pictures speak for themselves – note the excellent workmanship of this hobby still. A small copper sieve hangs inside the high Arabian head, so that the head can be filled with herbs or spices, as desired. That is ideal for those quickly conjured up, surprise drinks. It is possible in the shortest time to distil your own schnapps and to have a lot of fun at the same time!

   Safe and uncomplicated schnapps distillation: Simply fill purchased alcohol (or leftovers from your home bar) into the boiler and add some of your favorite spices or herbs to the boiler! Heat it up, and after a few minutes your first schnapps starts to drip out! Since you use  purchased alcohol (already purified) you do not have to worry about potentially toxic substances in the heads and can happily continue to distil. Think about caraway, anise, juniper – and all the many other aromas you have in your kitchen. There are so many possibilities for savoring new flavors …   

Please note: If you want to distil your own mash (for fruit schnapps), wine (for brandy) or beer (for beer schnapps) you have to pour off the first drops, the so-called heads. This can contain toxic substances! To make it easier for you, we supply every still with a small cup for collecting the heads. You are on the safe side if you pour off this small amount of liquid, and can also distil your own fine spirits. Separating the heads using a thermometer is not possible with a 0,5 liter still.

   What is left to be said? This "CopperGarden®" still is a real beauty which leaves nothing to be desired by the hobby user – fun and new flavorful experiences are guaranteed. Schnapps distillation is really a multifaceted hobby, but the still can do much more. With this still you can even distil essential oils in small quantities and produce useful amounts of herbal distillates for cosmetic or medicinal purposes. We have tried it ourselves!
