CopperGarden: still Alquitara 25L (essential oils)
This wonderful and uncomplicated alquitara still is made according to antique models, and consists of a two part, welded and permanently sealed boiler with a 25 liter volume, and a top-mounted condenser. The boiler is divided in two in the upper part and an aroma sieve, specially made for distilling essential oils, is fitted in. The alquitara still is completely made out of copper, and is certainly the best choice for the distillation of essential oils, because the vapour travels only a very short distance and can transport the valuable oils unimpeded into the condenser.
The still consists of the two part boiler with a fitted copper sieve. In the head is a second removable copper sieve – this allows the still to be filled completely to the top with herbs. That guarantees maximum efficiency. A third permanently soldered sieve prevents the herbs being transported with the vapour into the condenser. All in all, a masterpiece built according to the latest know-how, and thanks to the space-saving construction it is guaranteed to be the best choice for distilling essential oils.
