This typical double-column still is a precursor to today's modern column stills with tall distillation columns. In France and the Caribbean, rum, Armagnac, and various other spirits are still produced using distillation systems of this kind. Through the use of the second and third vessels, high-proof rectification takes place, resulting in a largely neutral taste after a single distillation.

If you wish to produce high-proof alcohol (or fuel) on a small scale and for demonstration purposes at various rectification levels (and it is legal to do so), this model will suit your needs. Please note that due to its small size and high rectification, the yield will be minimal.

The still is mounted on a wrought iron stand and equipped with a spirit burner, allowing the system to be properly heated and the vapor to be safely guided through the vessels. As an additional feature, the connections from the vapor pipe to the condenser are threaded, eliminating the need for tedious sealing. Furthermore, the system is visually appealing and makes for a special gift for collectors and enthusiasts of high-quality spirits.
