Enlarged Vapor Space: The ALQUITARA "Plus" offers a generously sized vapor space for your plant material, thanks to the removable aroma column. This alone significantly increases efficiency compared to standard ALQUITARA stills. The chimney effect, due to the tall design and the overhead head condenser where the aromas quickly re-condense, also contributes to your ability to obtain essential oils and robust hydrolates of the highest quality.
Better Cooling & Easy to Clean: But that’s not all; the distillation helmet has been redesigned for better accessibility, making it incredibly easy to clean. To prevent residues, the hard-to-reach areas have been tin-coated as well. Thanks to the improved cooling, the vapors condense significantly faster and are strongly cooled in the additionally attached side Liebig condenser. You do not need a permit to purchase and use this still; however, it is subject to registration in Germany and Austria due to the size of the boiler. In Switzerland, you can use this still without registration but will need to pay an import tax upon delivery. Registration in Germany and Austria is straightforward: It is sufficient to notify the responsible main customs office in your region in writing, stating who you are, where the still will be used, and what you will be distilling. That's all. Please order only if you can register this still at your customs office or provide an invoice and delivery address in another country. Distillation units with over 2 liters boiler capacity, like the Alquitara offered here, may be purchased privately from us but may only be used for the production of essential oils, hydrolates, or water. To distill alcohol, you will need a commercial distilling license. This still has a dual registration requirement. We must report the sale of this distillery to our responsible main customs office within three days of purchase. You must report the acquisition of the still to your responsible customs office no later than three days after delivery.
