"CopperGarden®" 24 cm Copper Pan with Handle & Lid

This copper pan is also very well-suited for newcomers to copper cooking due to its food-safe coating made of 100% pure tin. The food-safe coating protects the copper, conducts heat perfectly, and provides excellent non-stick properties when combined with a little oil. Even challenging dishes like tortillas, eggs, or pancakes won’t stick and will always turn out well. You will love it.

Copper is a noble metal and remains the best material for cooking due to its unique properties. Copper immediately transmits the temperature from your cooking surface to the food, allowing you to regulate heat extremely sensitively at any time, whether you need to increase it quickly or let it cool down. Copper reacts the fastest to temperature changes.

The pan offers you an indestructible quality, as if it were from a different time. Copper can do it all, whether you are cooking at home in the kitchen, on the grill, or outdoors over a campfire. You can sear at high temperatures, simmer gently for hours, put the pan in the oven, or, if you enjoy cooking outdoors, even bury the pan with the lid in the embers to bake delicious pizza or fresh bread with proper top heat.

These "CopperGarden®" copper pans are an extremely robust investment for a lifetime with a beautifully thick application of pure tin. We can highly recommend this pan based on our own experience.

However, you should be aware that copper offers extremely good thermal conductivity. The handle will become hot during use. Please be cautious and use oven mitts and trivets.

Manufactureru2019s Address: UNICOBRES GmbH & Co.KG, Hersfelder Strasse 16, 36132 Eiterfeld, Germany, Email: info@destillatio.com

Why Tinned Copper? Copper offers the best thermal conductivity. With a core or coating of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. Tinning is 100% safe, as the body simply expels tin. The thermal conductivity remains intact. Additionally, tin combined with a little oil provides excellent non-stick properties. You will love it! If the tinning ever becomes unsightly or scratched, it can be re-tinned at any time. This ensures that the pan remains usable for a lifetime. Quality for centuries.

Healthy frying in a copper pan

Our tip for a healthy life, durable copper pots, and enjoyment in the kitchen: only use good oils and add a little at the beginning to your pan. A copper pan should not be heated empty.

Important to know: At 232 degrees, the tin coating may start to melt. At 250 degrees, the copper can warp.

A typical stovetop can reach 400u00b0 Celsius, a glass ceramic cooktop can reach 600u00b0, and a gas flame or open fire can exceed 1,000u00b0!

No need to worry! When cooking, frying, and baking normally, you will never reach these temperatures.

Pay attention to the smoke point. Itu2019s simple: if the oil is smoking, itu2019s too hot! You can harm your health long before a copper pot suffers.

Frying and deep-frying become unhealthy at temperatures above 175u00b0! Acrylamide forms. Even high-heat oils will burn by around 200u00b0 Celsius. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures over 230 degrees.

Put your food in the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You donu2019t need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden cooking spoon and hold the end briefly in the hot oil. If fine air bubbles come from the handle, the oil is hot enough for frying and deep-frying. If it starts to smoke, itu2019s too hot.

What if it happens! If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232u00b0, the tin may melt. It is 100% safe for health even if it ends up in your food. Your body will simply expel it. If necessary, the pot can be re-tinned.

If you expose your pan to temperatures above 250 degrees, it could warp. This is not a problem, but when cooking on an electric stovetop, it might cause heat transfer losses due to the warped bottom.

One more important note: Copper transfers all temperatures very quickly, including to the handle! Please use an oven mitt or cloth when handling the pan on the stove.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking device. With a little care, this pan will bring you much joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish away these traces of life, but we recommend leaving it be and allowing the pan to age gracefully.

Tin may dull with use. The original silver shine will turn into a matte gray. If you wish, you can re-tin it at any time. This will cost around 30 euros for a pan of this size, but it is not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn and scratched.
