"CopperGarden®" 2 Liter Alquitara with Column & Liebig Condenser
This specialty still from the "CopperGarden®" manufactory is the logical advancement of the ALQUITARA still for distilling essential oils. The still combines the advantages of column distillation (storage space and chimney effect), the Alquitara (short vapor paths), and modern laboratory equipment (optimal cooling). Undoubtedly, the ALQUITARA "Plus" is the most efficient of all stills for producing essential oils thanks to these benefits.
Increased Vapor Space: The ALQUITARA "Plus" offers a large vapor space for the plant material. This alone significantly enhances the efficiency of the system. More plants = higher yield. Even with the registration-free 2-liter model offered here, you can professionally produce essential oil of very high quality.
Better Cooling & Easy to Clean: That’s not all. The distillation head at the top has been redesigned for easier cleaning. To prevent residues, the hard-to-reach areas have been tinned. Thanks to the improved cooling, the vapors condense much faster and are cooled significantly in the Liebig condenser. Based on our experiences, more efficient cooling leads to better yields and higher qualities of essential oils. The additional cooler is a finely crafted Liebig condenser made of copper, which complements the ALQUITARA perfectly.
Overall, it is a coherent, highly efficient system that we would recommend for the professional production of essential oils. Please note that due to its height, the still is no longer suitable for demonstrations or "stressful" environments. We recommend a stable, wobble-free location for your distillations. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a stand.

With a core or coating of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. Tinning is 100% safe, as the body simply expels tin. The thermal conductivity remains intact. If the tinning ever becomes unsightly or scratched, it can be re-tinned. This ensures that the still remains usable for a lifetime.</p>
<h2>Distilling with boiler capacities of up to 2 Liters is registration-free!</h2> <p>Thanks to the new German Alcohol Tax Act (effective January 1, 2018), we are allowed to sell this still freely and without any bureaucracy to you and ship it to all EU countries as well as most other countries on our planet.</p> <p><strong>Important to know:</strong> We must inform you that you are not permitted to distill alcohol in Germany and Switzerland. The still may be used registration-free for the distillation of water, hydrolats, flavors, natural remedies, cosmetics, essential oils, non-alcoholic beverages, etc. If you wish to legally distill alcohol in Germany or Switzerland, you will need a commercial distilling license.</p> <p>In Austria, you may also use this still to flavor and distill purchased (taxed) alcohol with various flavor carriers and legally produce gin, for example. Distilling alcohol from mash is also prohibited in Austria.</p> <p>Please be aware of the laws in your home country. If you are distilling spirits at home with this still, you are a "moonshiner" and could be prosecuted for tax evasion in the amount of the lost alcohol tax. Additionally, the still could be confiscated.
