"CopperGarden®" ø28 cm Copper Pan with Brass Handle
This large and highly robust copper pan is suitable for all dishes and cooking methods due to its food-grade coating of pure tin. Even if you add lemon or other acids, the copper remains protected. Ideal for all kitchen professionals who want to benefit from the incredible properties of copper. The unique heat conductivity of copper, which is essential for a pan, remains completely intact unlike with a stainless steel or ceramic coating. You will love it.
The pan offers all the advantages of copper, such as significantly better heat conductivity compared to other materials. The coating of pure tin, meticulously applied by hand, is highly durable and will last you a long time. If necessary, the pan can always be re-tinned by a copper smith or tinsmith. This copper pan is an incredibly sustainable investment for a lifetime. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
Note: The pan is hand-forged from genuine copper and internally coated with a generous amount of 100% pure tin, hand-tinned. Both copper and tin are living materials and will change color over time with use. The pan is extremely straightforward and easy to clean, but it will mature with you and develop an irregular patina, ranging from dark brown. The coating is carefully applied by hand and may initially appear unevenly silver-colored. With use, the coating will become seasoned and the silver color will also develop a fantastic patina, eventually turning black. If desired, you can polish the pan to a high gloss.

Why tin-plated copper? Copper offers the best heat conductivity. With a core or a coating of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. Tin plating is 100% harmless, as the body simply excretes tin. Nevertheless, the heat conductivity remains intact. If the tin plating becomes unsightly and scratched over time, it can be re-tinned. This allows the pan to be used for a lifetime."CopperGarden®" 28 cm Copper Pan with Handle
Our tip for a healthy life, durable copper pots, and fun in the kitchen: use only good oils and add some of it to your pan right from the start. A copper pan should not be heated empty. Important to know: At 232 degrees, the tin coating could melt. At 250 degrees, the copper could warp. A normal stove burner can reach 400°C, a ceramic glass cooktop 600°C, and a gas flame or fire can even exceed 1,000°C! No need to worry! When cooking, frying, and baking normally, you will never reach these temperatures. Pay attention to the smoke point. It's simple: if the oil starts to smoke, it's too hot! You are harming your health long before a copper pot suffers. At 175°C, frying and deep-frying becomes unhealthy! Acrylin forms. Even high-heat resistant oils burn by 200°C at the latest. There is only one exception: artificially refined sunflower oils can reach extreme temperatures over 230°C. Put your food in the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, as will your pan! Another tip: You don't need a thermometer to fry. Use a wooden cooking spoon and dip the end into the hot oil. If fine air bubbles come out of the spoon handle, the oil is hot enough for frying and deep-frying. If it starts to smoke, it's much too hot. What if it happens anyway! If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232 degrees, the tin could melt. It is 100% safe for your health, even if it ends up in the food. Your body will simply excrete it again. If necessary, the pot can be re-tinned. If you expose your pan to temperatures above 250 degrees, it could warp. Actually not a problem, but when cooking on an electric stove, there could be loss of heat transfer due to the warped bottom. Another important thing: Copper conducts all temperatures very quickly, even to the handle! Please use a pot holder or cloth when touching the handle. This copper pan is a highly quality cooking utensil. With a little love, the pan will bring you much joy and accompany you for a lifetime. Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish away these traces of life, but we recommend not to and let the pan mature in dignity. Tin can dull with use. The original silver luster changes to a matte gray. If you wish, you can always have it re-tinned. This will cost around 30 euros for a pan of this size, but it is not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn and scratched.
