"CopperGarden®" AURA27 Camping Baking Pot

The name AURA already reveals everything. AURA is the radiant goddess of the morning breeze and can warm your rolls on the gas flame, providing you with a fragrant morning. Of course, the AURA can do much more: it can bake bread, casseroles, or cakes. It doesn't matter if you're just gratinating vegetables, potatoes, or leftover pasta from the previous day with cheese, or creating a luxurious oven dish. The AURA can do it all, and not just on the gas flame, but also in the oven, on the grill, over a campfire, and with some limitations even on an electric stove.

The "CopperGarden®" AURA is a high-quality handcrafted ring with a spacer and inner chimney made from the finest copper, with a thick coating of pure tin. These two materials allow you to prepare all kinds of food at the highest level and in the best quality. You don't need any additional accessories to bake with the AURA! Copper naturally guarantees the best heat distribution, and tin provides the best non-stick properties, making the AURA wonderfully uncomplicated and easy to maintain. It can even be washed in saltwater if needed.

Thanks to its sustainable processing, the AURA is a long-lasting acquisition for your entire life and can be polished or recoated at any time if necessary. You'll love it.

Note: Some of the pictures show the smaller 24 cm Aura for 2 people, which we also offer.

What Should You Consider When Using the CopperGardenu00ae AURA Baking Pot?

Thank you for your interest in our wonderful AURA baking pot. It is a very sustainably made and durable product that will surely bring you much joy. However, there are a few things you should know and keep in mind when using it.

1.) Copper conducts heat better than any other material. This is one of the great advantages of copper and leads to excellent results with the AURA baking pot. At the same time, you should also be prepared for the pot to become very hot. Please always use pot holders, cotton or felt cloths, silicone or cork, and wood as coasters or for handling.

Important to Know: The heat-resistant iron handles retain temperature longer than the copper and can remain very hot for a while after use.

2.) Copper is very temperature-resistant, but the pure tin non-stick coating can melt at temperatures above 242u00b0C. As long as the pot is completely filled with batter, casserole, or something somewhat liquid, the temperature is unlikely to become too high. The contents of the baking form hold back the temperature, but when reheating rolls, for example, large areas of copper can be exposed and heat up much higher. We generally recommend strongly heating with a large flame initially and reducing the flame to the lowest setting after at most two minutes.

Pro Tip: A bowl of hot water in the form helps achieve crispy rolls while slightly cooling the form as the water evaporates.

Important to Know: Tin is absolutely harmless! Even if you were to ingest it, your body would not absorb it and would simply expel it. If you overheat your AURA, the tin could melt and mainly alter its color and texture. While it melts, it will immediately reattach to the copper. The changed surface is not a disadvantage, as the wonderful non-stick properties of the tin remain intact. Copper and tin are very high-quality metals, and once you understand how they work together, you can achieve wonders in the kitchen.

3.) We always recommend ensuring that the base tray is positioned under the AURA. It prevents excessive temperatures inside and at the bottom, ensures more even heat distribution, and prevents burning inside. Ideally, a gas flame should initially heat at full power to create strong top heat, and then be reduced to the lowest setting during continuous operation so that the flame primarily heats the chimney in the middle of the form. This way, you achieve a nicely browned surface even in the upper area.

Tip: Keep the lid on, as opening it causes a loss of top heat while the temperature at the bottom remains high. It is best to be patient until the end of the baking time and open only at the very end. After a few uses, you will get a good sense of the internal temperature and be able to handle the AURA perfectly and bake wonderful things.

If you like, you can insert the probe of a digital cooking thermometer through the top holes to measure the internal (upper) temperatures.

No matter what you bake, we wish you a lot of fun with it.
